Pestilent Decay is a one man Slamming Instrumental Technical Deathgrind band, founded by Michael Carnovale, from Toronto Ontario. Apotemnophilia is the debut full length from Pestilent Decay!
History:
Pestilent Decay was founded in the summer of 2011 by Michael Carnovale. Over the course of the fall and winter, Michael was experimenting with new sounds and ideas for Pestilent Decay, and eventually sought out to become a instrumental one man band. Pestilent Decay released its first release, Demo 2012, in March of 2012, which contained 4 demo tracks. Then, over the course of the summer, Pestilent Decay wrote brand new songs for an upcoming debout full length, and eventually released a promo in June of 2012. Pestilent Decay's debut full length, Apotemnophilia was released in August of 2012, containing 18 tracks. Immediately after the release of Apotemnophilia, Pestilent Decay decided to release a novelty album mixing various genres with slam death metal, and was called 10 Tunes of Fusion Slam, also released in August of 2012. As of today, Pestilent Decay is hard at work writing way faster and more technical songs for the second full length album, to be released sometime in 2013. Other upcoming releases also include: Mathslam ( a 60 minute technical slam piece) and Technical Crust punk ( a ten minute piece), both to be also released in 2013.
