Unleashing a relentless fusion of death metal, modern metal and shoegaze. Avoidant was formed in Lima, Peru, in the winter of 2010 with the idea and projection of musicians Ibarcena Daniel Ramon Novoa Mollyk and Giancarlo Melgar who met through a social network, and also by the gender ratio of the bands each parallel. After having contacted through the social network, decided to get together and start developing the project of Death Metal.

After exchanging ideas and meet, decide that the musician drummer Daniel Yowad Ibarcena Mollyk, just parallel band of his brother (Daniel Ramon Ibarcena Mollyk), joins the project "Avoidant".

To spend a few weeks writing a couple of songs, it came to define the style of the band and went on to call for a second guitarist, but for lack of contacts, remained the idea of ​​staying with a single guitar. Then came the idea of ​​calling the band's bassist Ichthyosis, John Coronado (ex-Decorpsed), also known by the brothers Ibarcena.

Through constant interaction between the brothers Giancarlo Ibarcena and Melgar, concludes with the issues that go on their debut demo named "Eye-Solated Breed" (2011).

Months later, after much searching, manages to find a 2nd guitarist for the band: Giomar Carrasco.

The band manages to launch the demo with good reception and then a few months decide it's time for new material. Unfortunately and for personal reasons, John Coronado left the band and decide to call for some references to Rhodes Andres Arce, who would like the new official bassist of the band, thus forming Avoidant alignment in 2012.

The new phase of composition and recording the whole process was very similar to his previous work. Thus, in early July 2012, the band released a four-track EP, titled "Morphology". A job that shows the evolution of the band in search of more progressive sounds but keeping all the skill that characterizes his Death metal.

Later that year, the band manages to record and release their first video clip of the song "A Catalyst for Destruction", getting rave reviews.

In early 2013 the band decided to restructure their sound and record a new EP. Thus, during the first two weeks of February get writing and recording 6 tracks, which differ from all that had been working, since the sound would have as its base the Death metal and now combine different genres, such as : post-hardocre, deathcore, shoegaze and various elements of progressive metal. Which gave them more tools to experiment and create a more versatile sound and proper. This is also compounded by the incorporation of the use of 7-string guitars.

Right now the band is working on promoting his new EP, called "involution". So in search of a contract with a record company to help them grow and provide more public arrival.

Name & Artwork: All the artwork and EP are related as the name implies, the involution of the human being and how this translates into a degraded and voraciously consumed environment. In the artwork we see a planet collapsing and encapsulated, making a visual metaphor that we are encapsulated in our own mess, which we cannot go out or avoid, because of our self-destructive condition.

All the production of Involution has been done by us. The band made everything in terms of artwork, recording sessions, pre-production and promotion, in only two weeks.
