Although Serpents has released music in the past,"Born of Ishtar (ولدت من عشتار)" marks the debut solo effort of former Oceano guitarist Andrew Mikhail under the Serpents name. "Born of Ishtar" was written, performed, produced, and tracked by Andrew Mikhail (in between tours with Straight Line Stitch) at his home studio in Chicago, IL. The editing, mixing and mastering was handled by Derek Moffat of 608 Studios in Milwaukee, WI. Additional drum tracking for the record was done by previous member Dusty Boles (Rose Funeral, Make Me Famous) with Josh Schroeder of Random Awesome! Studios (Legend, The Browning) in Bay City, MI. Cover artwork for "Born of Ishtar" was created by artist and musician Navid Naghdi.
"Born of Ishtar" will be released digitally February 05, 2013 via iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, and other fine digital retailers.
